About El Toro Tours | The Story Behind Morgan Hill Wine Trolley
About Us
Start your journey today
Friends for over thirty years, cofounders Christina Perez and Heather Gallegos are Morgan Hill residents with a deep love for South Santa Clara County wine country. They created the Morgan Hill Wine Trolley to help Bay Area residents and visitors experience it for themselves. The idea grew naturally out of their friendship: raising kids, traveling, hosting, and yes, enjoying wine together. When they tried to plan wine-tasting tours for special events and found no good local option, they saw the gap. A wine-tasting trolley was exactly what South County was missing. That insight, combined with a shared passion for entrepreneurship, became the genesis of El Toro Tours, parent company of the Morgan Hill Wine Trolley and future local tourism services.
TWO FRIENDS, TWO TROLLEYS
What started as a love for South County wine country has grown into a collection of experiences that highlight the region's hospitality, beauty, and hidden gems. Rolling hills, scenic vineyards, and small-town warmth offer a refreshing escape from the pace of Silicon Valley. We work closely with local wineries, farms, restaurants, and venues, many of them family-owned, to create authentic experiences you won't find anywhere else in the South SF Bay Area.
Our Story
We create elevated, effortless experiences that bring people together while showcasing the hidden gems of South Santa Clara County wine country. We believe the best moments happen when guests can relax and truly connect, without worrying about logistics. That is why we design each tour with trusted local partners, iconic trolley transportation, and warm, attentive hosting. From wine tastings and farm visits to team events and weddings, everything we do celebrates local people, beautiful places, and moments worth remembering.

What do people say about El Toro Tours?
We had such a good time celebrating our lovely friend’s birthday. Everything was so nice since the beginning with the initial welcoming champagne and appetizers all the way to the driver Rudy and the host ( I forgot the name of the young girl) she was super nice too. I loved 2 of the 3 Wineries, I was expecting to go to the one with the LOVE sign but did happen this time, the kareoke is an excellent plus we all enjoyed and sing together. Overall everything was really good.

We were a group of 5 celebrating two birthdays. All of us have wanted to ride the trolley but none of us had done it. It was a total blast!! Tony was an amazing driver, blasting the music and ringing the bell!! Isabelle was a fantastic tour guide and both of them took great care of us. We visited three wineries, had a yummy croissant sandwich lunch and there was plenty of available water! All three winery stops were fun, great wine and fabulous attention to the trolley passengers! I highly recommend taking one (or more!) rides on the MH trolley!! I can’t wait to ride again!

My wife and I had the pleasure of participating in the South County Farm Tour on June 12, 2026. We both had an exceptionally enjoyable time meeting the farmers at each stop and exploring the scenic backroads of Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy. As a former IBM Customer Satisfaction Manager, I was blown away by the warmth, knowledge, and professionalism of both our tour docent and driver. The whole experience exceeded our expectations! If you're looking for a fun, relaxing, and family-friendly outing, I highly recommend signing up for a Morgan Hill Wine Trolley tour. Tere Johnson

This was a great way to spend an afternoon! We rode an open air trolley to a series of different wineries, singing along to music and enjoying the fun atmosphere. The lunches were great, I was the driver after so I was pleased that there was a non-alcoholic option and my friend said the wine was great.

We’ve done the wine trolley and just completed the farm tour with our two year old and this company is the best. The people who do the tours, the driver, the owners, all the sweetest! The stops are great on both tours and they always go above and beyond. And I love that you get to support the local businesses!

The Trolley was so much fun! So glad it is a female owned and operated business. The music on the Trolley alone was enough to get us up and dancing, even without any wine. I will say I felt like we needed more time at each winery, it felt a little rushed. I also didn't understand why we drove 5 miles south to the 2nd winery just to come back 5 miles north to the last winery. The 1st and last wineries were near each other. Maybe it had to do with timing. The food was excellent. Champagne at the start, light snacks on board, water, and a great buffet lunch. The charcuterie was excellent too! I would do it again.

The Morgan Hill wine trolly experience was my first time. I went with friends and we had a blast. From the beginning of check in at a local downtown restaurant, where you start with a champagne welcome toast, a light array of appetizers before you aboard the trolley. You will drive around downtown Morgan Hill and off to the first winery. There are three wineries you go to. The music starts playing and the fun starts immediately. You also are provided lunch at the second winery with a big turkey club sandwich and a side or a salad as well. The wineries are very good and beautiful. I highly recommend this to everyone. The ladies who run the trolley are so much fun and provide all the entertainment and info for your trip.

Had an amazing time on the Morgan Hill Wine Trolley. The whole experience was smooth, fun, and really well organized. The trolley ride itself is a great way to relax and enjoy the views, and the wineries we stopped at were excellent — especially Mohi Farms. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and it made for a perfect day with family. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and different wine tasting experience in Morgan Hill. We will definitely be doing this again.

I love the wine trolley! It’s always such a fun vibe. Morgan Hill is a hidden gem in the South Bay. I’m fortunate to live here and take the trolley tour for wine tastings, holiday lights and special tours. I’ve even rented it for a corporate event that all of our out of town guests enjoyed.

This is my second time making reservations for the wine trolley. It is a great experience to get away and meet people, live life, and drink without the hassle of finding a driver. The ambience and environment are friendly. You can bring your own snacks along with the lunch that is provided. It is good getaway even if you are local and or visiting. The meeting area at the luxe is nice and low key, and pre drink and meet others.

This wine trolley is great for groups but also for a solo gal like me! I travel for work and I’m always looking for things to do to get to know the area. I didn’t know what to expect being alone. Donna made sure to let everyone know I was riding alone and that welcomed the other girls to come up and talk to me. I ended the day, dancing with everybody on the trolley. The wineries were spectacular as well! I recommend this experience to anyone who loves to have a good time and loves some great wine!

We had an amazingly fun time at the Wine Tasting Trolley celebrating my husband and cousins birthdays. We got to taste a variety of delicious wines and had a reserved seating area at each winery. Our bus driver and our guide were both so sweet and so much fun! I believe their names were Lisa and Donna (if this is wrong, I’m sorry, I had a couple glasses of wine lol). We made friends with the group we rode with- we sang, danced and laughed so much. I would definitely recommend. 10/10.

First time Wine Trolley experience this past Sunday 11/2/2025. Just gotta say….. AWESOME! Professionally done, classy, fun, and wine time at three local wineries, Mohi, De Rose, and Cinnabar all of which had a different yet exceptional experience. Rudi and Siri were great today. We really appreciate all they did and it was a tough crowd to please with the mix they had. The wineries were great but the wine trolley and their services were phenomenal. We had an older couple, one with dementia, some middle ages, some mid thirties, and then some in 20's and wanting to party. The dynamic really couldn't have been more wide spread and they did a great job of making everyone happy. Thanks so much to them!!
